Cine Film to DVD Service

The digital transfer process starts with examination of your film for bad splices. When cine film gets old joints can dry out and become brittle. If problems are found the splices are repaired and renewed so that the movie will play smoothly during the copying process. The film is then cleaned and lubricated with special chemicals. Cine film can become very dry after years of storage and often there is a build up of dust. Much of the dust is removed during this process. The film is then copied in HD quality. Traditional cine projectors use light bulbs which get very hot, this means there is always a danger of damage to the film. We use the latest cool running LED's so the film is kept safe during the transfer process. Once the copying process is complete the digital files are corrected using the latest computer imaging software. The film is colour corrected where needed and any remaining dust speckles are minimised. The corrected video files are then edited into the final movie and output to a DVD or a USB memory stick as MP4 files.
