There are many reasons why a group portrait is required. The most popular reasons are special wedding anniversaries such as Golden Weddings, Silver Weddings and Retirements. Very often the children have all got together to arrange a session as a special surprise for their parents. Sometimes even coordinating the session with a meal or get together later in the day, this is often a good excuse to get everyone together at the same time.

At a group session we would first of all arrange the main group. Once this is completed if required we would also do other arrangements for you. Very often families like to take the opportunity to have a portrait taken of their own immediate family too. It’s also a good time to get a picture of all the Grand Children together. A photograph of the Grand Parents for the Grand Children is also a very important one to get.

A large part of our business involves restoring and renovating old photographs. It’s amazing how many people don’t have a decent photograph of their parents. Every week someone brings an old torn photograph of their mom and dad into the studio and asks if we can restore it and make it better as it’s the only picture they have. Very often saying something like “ my mom hated having her photograph taken ” or “ dad was always behind the camera and never appeared in any pictures himself ”. In some cases they don’t have a picture of them together at all and ask if it’s possible to merge two pictures together. It’s so important to get a nice portrait of your parents when ever the opportunity arises.

At the session we allow up to forty minutes. During this time we will take a variety of pictures for you to choose from. You would then return to the studio a few days later and choose your portraits on a screen. What you decide to order is entirely up to you. There is no minimum or maximum to what you should spend, there is no pressure for you to spend either.

The session fee is £39 (payable at the time of booking)

Finished desk portraits start from £36.95 plus VAT.

Framed wall portraits start from £189 plus VAT.
