There are many reasons why you may want a portrait of your family. Your children may be at an age when they may leave the nest at any time. A family portrait of all of you together is a great way of keeping them at home forever.

Children get a new photograph taken at school most years. When was the last time you had a photograph taken with the children? Remember, when your children are older the pictures they will treasure the most will be the ones with you in the picture! Which are the pictures you treasure the most, pictures of yourself or those of other people? such as your mom & dad. We should always try to provide pictures of ourselves for our children.

We often do not know what to buy our parents or grand parents when it comes to that special occasion. What could be better than a family group of generations? Nothing makes a more personalised gift than a wall portrait of your own family.

Whatever your reason for wanting a family portrait at Portraits By Hart we will try to make the experience a pleasurable one. We can cater for groups of up to twenty-five people with ease.

At the session we allow up to forty minutes. During this time we will take a variety of pictures for you to choose from. With all family sessions you have the option to have individual portraits of your children, a group of the children and a portrait of the parents together and any other combinations you may require. We feel that while you have made the effort to get everyone together, you should take advantage of this opportunity. We are happy to discuss any other ideas you may have.

You would then return to the studio a few days later and choose your portraits on a screen. What you decide to order is entirely up to you. There is no minimum or maximum to what you should spend, there is no pressure for you to spend either.

The session fee is £39 (payable at the time of booking)

Finished desk portraits start from £36.95 plus VAT.

Framed wall portraits start from £189 plus VAT.
